ARTBATTLES @ THE YOTEL HOTEL NYC:

The objective of Art Battles is to create live art and competitions to expose emerging artists to the public. Instead of microphones and turntables, you have four artists going head-to-head within the span of an hour.

Art Battles is innovative in that it has changed the way artists demonstrate their talents, creating a new model for art exhibition and sales. The goal of Art Battles is to create a platform for inspiring this global movement.

PESU:

PESU started his career as an artist in 1996 as a graffiti writer in his hometown of Shizuoka. He then relocated to Kanagawa, and then later moved to Tokyo. He moved to the US in 2001, spent three years in California schooling, painting and experincing life. The following year he moved to New York City, and since then has attainted countless achievements such as, winning numerous Art Battle competitions, appearing on MTV, working with prominent companies like, NIKE iD, EVISU, COACH, Earth Day New York, Lacoste Live — and the list just keeps growing.

YOTEL HOTEL NYC:

The Japanese pod hotel created by YO! Founder Simon Woodroffe OBE and YOTEL CEO Gerard Greene. The idea was conceived by Simon after he was upgraded into first class on a British Airways flight. He decided to translate the language and the luxary of airline travel and a touch of Japanese influence into a small but luxurious cabin.
